DAY 04July 26, 2026

too many random scraps of ideas

I am adding listings and fixing scrapers, but I need to make sure I am not just collecting random unfinished ideas.

The Struggle

I spent today finishing the last pieces of my Etsy competitor tracking tool, but the platform makes it difficult to collect data. My original setup using residential proxies kept getting blocked, so I had to switch to Scraping Bee to bypass their filters. It solved the issue immediately, but fighting with scrapers is a tedious process. After fixing the tracking tool, I went to my actual Etsy store and added five new listings. Some of them were designs for kids' birthdays, and others were personalized options where people can get their photo edited to look like a K-pop star. Despite the effort, I still have not made a single sale.

The Reflection

The more I read about Etsy, the more I realize how incredibly competitive it is. It is definitely possible to make money, but it requires extreme consistency. I did manage to maintain that consistency in my physical habits today. Even though my muscles were still sore, I forced myself to go to the gym and did three kilometers of incline walking at a fifteen percent gradient. I sweated like a pig, but it felt good. I knew I needed to keep the habit of moving for my heart, my muscles, and my brain.

But when it comes to my business projects, I am still struggling with that same focus. Right now, I am jumping between building scrapers, listing digital products, and thinking about brewery analytics. I realized that if I do not sit down and define exactly what I want to achieve with each project, I will end up with a hundred random scraps of half-finished ideas. I am afraid of having lots of floating code repositories and online stores without a clear direction for any of them. I need to figure out which of these are small, isolated experiments and which ones can be built together into a cohesive project.

The Commitment

Tomorrow, I am going to organize my active projects and write down a clear objective for each of them. I will keep pushing on my current ideas, but I need to make sure I am not just creating noise.
